About the Event
What do I do once I have my bees?!
ABA President Josh Ray will be the presenter for the April meeting. We will be talking about the steps to take once your bees arrive at their new home! The main focus of the meeting will be moving your bees out of the nuclear hive (nuc box) and into a standard 8 or 10 frame set up (whatever your preference is). Bring your questions and your confusion! If you're not confused, you're not keeping bees!
We'll also be sharing tips and tricks for checking your hives for varroa mites.
Come at 5:30pm for open hives. ABA has some veils to share. Or bring your veil and whatever other bee gear makes you feel comfortable!
😀OPEN HIVES AT 5:30 PM😀
We’ll start the meeting inside the LCEO at 6:30 but COME EARLY (around 6 pm) AND SOCIALIZE!!
Meetings are free and open to the public so please. RSVP at the website. We'll know you're coming and we'll have your name badges to wear. Make plans to stay for the raffle at the end.
