About the Event
presented by Master Craftsman Beekeeper David Hall
Did you know we're in "the dearth?" it's the time of year when honeybees struggle to find enough protein (pollen) and carbohydrates (nectar) to keep the colony growing. This will continue until the fall flowering begins usually in September.
Knowing how, what and when to feed your colonies is key to keeping your hives happy - and growing. "If a colony is not growing, it's dying."
This is also the time of year that varroa mites and small hive beetles mutiply exponentially. We'll discuss your Integrated Pest Management (IPM) as well.
We'll meet via Zoom on August 10th at 6:30pm for our regular meeting.
RSVP no later than noon on the 9th to receive the zoom link by 3pm. Meeting starts promptly at 6:30pm
