About the Event
It's hot. The dearth has set in. There's no food for the bees and there won't be much until the fall blooms arrive. This is prime time for robbing. This is when other bees invade your hives and steal the stored honey and rip open capped cells to get it. They will fight the home team bees -- many will die in the process. What can you do to prevent robbing in the beeyard?
Learn how to tell the difference between bearding, busy and robbing behaviors. And, what you can do to prevent or at least minimize the opportunity to rob.
Plus, it is not too early to think about how you'll get your hives strong and prepared for the coming winter. You've got a few months to get ready.
We will also addresses topics that have been posted on the Forum during the past month. If you have a specific question, email us before the meeting and we'll give you some advice.
Zoom sign-in link will be emailed to everyone who RSVPs, by noon on the day of the event.
