If you missed the day-long Short Course in Learning to Keep Honeybees, or if it didn’t work in your schedule, consider this next best option. Learn the basics and get into beekeeping this spring!
> Week 1 (March 11): Introduction to beekeeping and equipment
> Week 2 (March 18): Bee biology and hive management
> Week 3 (March 25): Integrated pest management and re-queening
> Week 4 (April 1): Open Hives/ Hands-on
The last session on April 1 will be in the ABA Leon County Apiary at the Extension Office. Veils provided for this exciting hands-on session that brings all the parts of the course together in the beeyard!
