About the Event
What do you need to prepare for the fall flow? Follow the succession of blooms from sumac through goldenrod and spanish needles. Bidens alba AKA Spanish needles produce the third largest honey crop - if there’s good rain. We try to keep you informed two brood cycles in advance so you can make sure you have time to think through your plans and buy any needed equipment.
We'll also be looking at what is happening in hives right now with Tips and Tricks on checking for mites. And, don't forget SHB!
Come at 5:30pm for open hives. ABA has some veils to share. Or bring your veil and whatever other bee gear makes you feel comfortable!
We’ll start the meeting inside the LCEO at 6:30 but COME EARLY (around 6 pm) AND SOCIALIZE!!
Meetings are free and open to the public so please RSVP above. When you RSVP, we'll know you're coming and we'll have your name badges to wear. Make plans to stay for the members-only raffle prizes at the end.
