Just in from looking at Leon hives. Hive 1/2, the double deep looks to be on the mend after I added the Full Moon nuc back on 04/23. The hive is finally growing. I may wait to split it in the fall. The Proffitt Queen I added to hive 3 had not been released so I manually released her after I marked her. Hive 4 is still the star of the Leon Bees. They had about finished the 2nd honey super so I added a third box with new foundation. Hive 5 was started from the other Full Moon nuc on 04/23. They have already drawn out two of the new frames, making 7 total. Once they draw out 8 of 10 I’ll quit feeding and add a Queen excluder and honey super. Hope your new bees are doing well also
At the ABA sattelite apiary (my house) one of the three PROFFIT queens had not been released. The others are out and laying well. I expect those 2 hives and the nuc to come back strong. The last hive is strong and making honey.
