Hello All, May 20 is World Bee Day...a special day designated by the UN, in 2017. The designation was in part to honor a Slovenian, Anton Jansa who initiated some of the modern apiculture concepts, back during the Hapsburg Empire. There is an interesting story in TIME, issue May 18, 2020 on beekeeping in Slovenia, which is not witnessing bee declines as in much of the rest of the world. Read on.
