If you've ever shopped at Community Co-Op, located at 1235 Apalachee Parkway, you'll know that they give back to the Tallahassee community, providing non-profit groups with a little extra funding. For the month of April, any round-up purchase donations will be shared with the Apalachee Beekeepers Association. Please encourage your friends, family and co-workers to shop there and round up for the ABA at the register! Every little bit helps and it's a nice way to help Community Co-Op support groups like ours throughout the Tallahassee area. The type of customer that shops there is also the kind of person that might be interested in beekeeping, so it's also a great way to get a little free advertising!
Although this month's meeting will be held at the Leon County Extension Office, the May meeting will be at the Leon County Library, Room A, for Jamie Ellis's discussion on "Pollen Substitutes." We'll be back at the Extension Office in June for Josh Ray's presentation on "Mite Checks & Control."
